To the Editor:
Reading about the UT semi-retired professor who is going to fully retire rather than teach in a classroom that might have licensed handgun carriers in the classroom has made me realize we are discriminating against liberals here in Texas.
What happens when we call 911 when there is a violent member of our society threatening us? We get an armed police officer on the scene as soon as possible.
There should be a choice for the caller.
I suggest the 911 call should be answered in a modern way.
The call should be answered this way: press 1 if you want an armed police officer, press 2 if you want a social worker to negotiate an end to your problem, press 3 if you want a preacher with a Bible to pray for you.
This should solve the discrimination problem and keep all happy.
